Joint Management Entrance Test
 
Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is conducted by the institutes of national importance – the IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and therefore, this exam is considered to be one of the most competitive exams in India.
 
Each IIT has its own eligibility criteria for their respective management programs such as:
 
IIT Bombay: Shailesh J Mehta School of Management
 
Master of Management
 
Eligibility Criteria
 
Applicants must have minimum 60 percent aggregate marks or CGPI of 6.5 out of 10 (55 percent for the applicants of SC/ST category) in their Bachelor’s degree of Engineering/Master’s degree of Science. Work experience is preferred but not a requisite.
 
The next few questions in GMAT fall into the mathematical section. The time allotted to attempt 37 multiple choice question is 1 hour 15 minutes. This section holds the maximum weight age when it comes to enrollment for the best international MBA.
 
Candidates appearing in the final exam of graduation can also apply for JMET, provided they submit all the provisional documents for the qualifying degree during the admissions.
 
IIT Delhi: Department of Management Studies
 
Master of Business Administration (MBA) with focus on Management Systems
 
Master of Business Administration (MBA) with focus on Telecommunication Systems Management
 
Qualifying examination could be:
 
Applicants who have minimum 60 percent aggregate marks or CGPI of 6.75 out of 10 in Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Architecture/Pharmacy/Engineering/Technology/B.Sc. Agriculture Engineering or equivalent examination (55 percent for the applicants of SC/ST/PD category as per the norms of the Institute) in their Bachelor’s degree of Engineering/Master’s degree of Science. (Minimum 4 years after 10+2)
Applicants who have minimum 60 percent aggregate marks or CGPI of 6.75 out of 10 in Master’s degree in any branch of Chemical/Mathematical/Physical Sciences like Chemistry, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Electronic Science, Operations Research, Computer Application, Computational/Information Science, Environmental Science, Agriculture or Master’s degree in Economics/Commerce or equivalent examination (55 percent for the applicants of SC/ST/PD category as per the norms of the Institute) in their Bachelor’s degree of Engineering/Master’s degree of Science.
 
Candidates appearing in the final exam of graduation can also apply for JMET, provided they have completed their final exam before 31st July of the year of application and submit all the provisional documents for the qualifying degree during the admissions.
